Whether you landed on this page from the search engines, my paid ads or if you’re already on my mailing list and one of the thousands of individuals that have gotten access to my free Continuity Master Academy training series, hopefully this post will enlighten and encourage you to continue fighting for your freedom with the power of the internet.
I grew up in a small town where everybody knows everybody and while I don’t have a sad story about not having food on the table or any extreme hardships, I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth either. Both of my parents were just hard-working people who made sure my siblings and I never lacked for anything. Seeing how hard they worked and their desire to give us a better life really made me want to do the same for them and taught me to NEVER be lazy.
When I graduated from high school I took up a warehouse job while doing college and believe it or not the commute was about two hours per day! Yes, that’s how far I had to drive in order to find a good job based off of where we stayed. The pay wasn’t too shabby though, as I was bringing in about $11 per hour starting out and the job came with pretty good benefits so I wasn’t complaining. Although, there was something inside of me that knew I was destined to “create wealth”. Maybe you’re not religious and that’s ok as I don’t judge, but it was prophesied to me when I was younger that I would be a millionaire and a light to those who are in need of financial freedom.
I kept that prophecy in my remembrance from the night it was told to me and sometime shortly after all kinds of entrepreneurial ideas began to come into my head. To make a long story short, let’s just say by the age of 18 I had done everything from selling chicken eggs to becoming one of the top barbers in my high-school where on the streets I picked up the name “Jay The Barber”.
Some business ventures failed..
Some were a complete success..
I was obsessed with offering people my services and getting paid for it. There was a certain high of knowing that I was able to buy food from money that I earned not from just “working” and getting a paycheck, but working for myself! If you’re an entrepreneur and reading this you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Anyways, my shade tree businesses made me money but were not enough which is why I took up the warehouse job while putting myself through college.
I could remember like it was yesterday, I was browsing the search engines on how to make money online and came across an ad of a guy that was making $30,000 per month and was in his early 20’s! Of course my primary instinct told me that it was nothing more than a big scam, but I decided to take a leap of faith and give the guys’ course a go. Besides, it was only $37 with a money back guarantee so I had nothing to lose, right?
It turned out that the course was pretty good, a bit outdated, but I was still able to pick up a few gold nuggets and make some money following it. That leap of faith I took as far as buying that course really activated my entrepreneurial bug for making money online and that became my primary focus.
I began to learn as much as I possibly could about working from home and outside of my day job and college, the rest of my time was spent with my face in front of a computer trying to at least get to $100 per day on the internet. After a bunch of trial and error, I was finally able to reach that goal and fortunately was able to comfortably quit my job then eventually I quit college as well.
The people around me thought I was crazy!
Heck, I don’t blame them, I thought I was a little crazy too, but when a man or woman believes in something it’s hard to do something with them..
With the knowledge I had, I began to create my own information products and began to teach people my secrets for making a full-time income online. Before I knew it, I had people flying me all over the place from California to Australia paying me graciously per visit. This really opened my eyes and encouraged me even more to continue doing what I was doing as I seen that there were so many individuals who were after living the internet lifestyle as well!
I was working so hard I actually forgot to reward myself, so one day I decided to upgrade my vehicle to a new Infiniti GT 350. While it’s not a $100,000 car, I liked it and it got me from point A to
point B so I was satisfied. Maybe one day, if God says the same, I’ll buy myself a lamborghini but I like investing too much so I’m “iffy” on spending a bunch of much money on things that depreciate in value (hehe)
Aside from a vehicle upgrade, I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to many different places and experiencing many different cultures. I actually lived in Mexico for nearly a year and a half! If it wasn’t for being able to leverage my skills and make money online, I doubt any of this would be possible.
If you’re reading this right now and wanting to make money online and live the life of your dreams as well I want to give you a quick plan of action that could definitely help you get there.
Rule #1: Ignore the haters/naysayers
No matter what, working online will just be one of those things that gets looked down upon from people who don’t know about the business. As you recall, I even thought it was just a big scam in the beginning, but took that leap of faith and my eyes were opened like never before. Of course there are some shady people and business models out there, but for the most part it’s possible to make a living on the internet doing things right.
The people around you might not be able to understand this newly found passion you have and tell you to stick with Corporate America, but take it from me- IGNORE THEM!
Rule #2: Understand this basic concept
It’s important not to over-complicate the process of earning money on the internet as it’s simply just a matter of Offering The Solution! People are looking for all sorts of things on the web every single second, whether it’s to “learn how to lose weight” or “get an ex back”. People need solutions for their problems and for the most part, are willing to pay for those solutions! Since they are already seeking and in buying mode, why not just be the person that has the offer in their face ready to take their money? Is there anything wrong with that? You provide a solution and get paid, not anything difficult or illegal is it?
If you don’t have your own product to offer individuals, then it’s simply just a matter of finding someone else’s and operating as an affiliate where you take a percentage.
Rule #3: Be Consistent!
Ok so last, but definitely not least, be consistent and stick with something for at least 90 days before calling it quits or moving on to something else. One of the main problems that a lot of people have is jumping to every single shiny object they see. There’s nothing wrong with being part of multiple opportunities or in different areas of making money online, but my best recommendation is to stick with one thing for at least 90 days or until it’s working before moving on to the next. Overwhelm is the last thing you want as an entrepreneur.
Hopefully you enjoyed reading this post and I really wasn’t expecting this to be over 1,000 words (hehe). I’m not sure how you got here, but that really doesnt matter. What matters is that youre here and obviously you love the fact of making money online or maybe you’re reading this and already doing so but you’re like me and look for that added encouragement sometimes. Either way I’m glad to serve you and if you’re looking for some free training that can definitely help you get your online business off the ground, I recommend checking out my free “Continuity Master Academy” training series.
